The POLYWOOD South Beach weighs 37 lbs and the Berlin Gardens Comfo-Back weighs 54 lbs — a 17-lb difference that makes the South Beach noticeably easier to pick up and reposition around a patio, pool, or fire pit. The Comfo-Back's extra weight is a deliberate tradeoff: harder to move, but more resistant to shifting in wind.
Note that weight and assembly are separate questions — the heavier chair isn't harder to put together. Tony Adams on the Comfo-Back: "Easy to assemble. 6 screws and it was ready."
