It's built from premium Western Red Cedar, one of the most naturally weather-resistant woods available: its natural oils resist insects, rot, and decay without any chemical treatment. Cedar also brings a warm color, distinctive grain, and the classic scent that only comes with real wood. Left unfinished it weathers to a silver-gray while staying structurally sound; periodic sealing preserves the original color.
