Yes, depending on the color of your table, polyresin picnic tables can become warn when in the direct sunlight. Darker colors will absorb the heat more than lighter colors. Unless it's been in the direct sunlight in the peak of a hot summer day for a long period of time, it will be warm to the touch but not too hot. It's the darker colors that remain in the direct sunlight that can get pretty hot. We recommend using an umbrella if you plan to set a dark poly picnic table where it gets prolonged sunlight hours and you want to use it mid day on a regular basis.
