Polyresin (sometimes called poly lumber or HDPE) is the toughest material we carry for poolside use. Since it shrugs off chlorine, salt air, and hours of direct sun without fading or splintering. Powder-coated aluminum and teak are close behind and both hold up beautifully as well. The two things we steer customers away from near a pool are wrought iron and untreated softwood, since both rust or rot quickly in a pool environment.
