RE: Traditional Pine Picnic Bench. I don't want Stain or Paint. Can you apply Urethane?
Traditional Pine Picnic Bench Only (2',3',4', 5', 6', or 8')
I need clear, exterior spar polyurethane. Is this something you can apply? I also like the natural color of the unfinished wood. The "natural" stain, you list as an option is looks reddish, and would not offer the moisture protection of urethane. My deck is in a shady, damp area. I am attempting to replace two 6' pine benches that are 15 years old. Your benches are are a pretty close match.

Thank you for your question. We do not offer polyurethane for our Traditional Pine Picnic Bench and actually don't recommend. If you happen to trap any moisture in your furniture, it will cause your benches to rot within a year's time. We recommend using a stain or sealer that is breathable so that if there is moisture in your furniture it will have the opportunity to dry out between rain episodes. We do have stain as an option.
