Thank you for your question. 48" Round tables are ideal for 4 people. If you have side chairs that are smaller in size, you can get 6 people around a 48" table but it will be cozy. 60" Round is the ideal size for 6 people. You want to figure that a placemats are anywhere from 12 to 18" in size.
