I would like to stain the arbor to match our existing fence. Is this an option before we assemble and install?

Yes, the Cedar Pagoda Arbor Kit can be stained/sealed before assembly. It would actually be recommended because the sealer and/or stain will get in every spot. You will just need to allow enough time for the pieces dry.
