Rustic White Cedar Log Fan Back Swing Set
We stained received, stained our swing set and assembled it. Just wanted to say it looks beautiful. We were replacing an older log swing that was we think at least 40 - 50 years on its 3rd owner and it was just wore out. This new swing looks just the old one which has the contoured seating. Just wanted to thank John for his outstanding customer service.
Again thank you we really like it.
One question. Should we seal the cracks that are in the logs?

Thank you for your comments. Log furniture will develop cracks (checking) along the grain of the wood. It does not go through the heart of the wood and this is normal. We do not recommend sealing those as the act of sealing could promote rot. Sometimes when you seal wood, you will trap moisture under the sealer and this is what causes the rot.
