The Cross Leg Pine Picnic Bench is 11 inches wide which is a common size for backless benches and the 6ft version is rated for 500 pounds of weight. The assembly consist of putting the legs and cross support on the bench top with screws. While it can flex a little in the middle if enough weight is placed there, it is a sturdy bench.
